Three Future Alternationsof X-Men Days of Future Past (Major Spoilers)

Due to X-Men Days of Future Past have alternated the timeline between the year 1973 and 2023 there is finally room to make a brand new retelling of future X-Men movies.

The Weapon X Program

Let's face X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a complete mess, due to Wolverine being erased by a silver bullet, Deadpool having his mouth shut and obtaining braka claws and Sabertooth being brothers with Wolverine. Because of the changed timeline in X-Men Days of Future Past have alternated FOX can finally make a fresh retelling of Wolverine volunteering in the Weapon X program and how Wolverine meet William Stryker during the process. Wolverine will probably gain adamantium claws during the mid or late 70s and knowing from the ending of Days of Future Past Mystique has some sort of vendetta against William Stryker. But rebooting Wolverine's Origin will not be in effect probably more years to come. So as for right now its only an idea.

A New Generation of X-Men

Bryan Singer announced that X-Men Apocalypse will set in the 1980s and there will be casting roles for to be younger Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Quicksilver and other characters such as Nightcrawler and Gambit. It seems that Charles Xavier and Beast are recruiting new X-Men to help defeat Apocalypse for destroying existing of humankind. Its unknown that the original older roles of X-Men are going to recast if so then I won't be bothered like to see new talent. And will love \

Wolverine and the X-Men

Like many other X-Fans such as myself I would love to see a X-Men movie that doesn't have Wolverine as the star of the X-Movies but one way or another Wolverine has to be featured in the movies one way or another. In future of 2023 Wolverine is seen to be a already member and teacher for both the X-Men and Charles Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. But the bigger questions is how did Wolverine manage to meet Charles Xavier and to be X-Man during that decade gap between 1973 and 2023? Because Bryan Singer had to sacrifice half of X-Men Franchise including his own directed movies X-Men 1 and 2, it seems Bryan Singer has to feel in the gap as of how did Wolverine managed to become a member of the X-Men in future. Including how did he manged to obtain is adamantium claws.

So here are my three Alternated gaps to restart a fresh new continuity for more X-Men squeals. If you got any answers to fix my speculations just discuss with me at the comment section below.

X-Men Days of Future Past Review

X-Men Days of Future Past Review

THE PROS

1. The Character Development

The Character Development in X-Men Days of Future Past is up par with any X-Men movie or any movie I've seen so far.How Charles personality from the beginning in year 1973 compare to who he becomes in the future is a beautiful character study. After First Class Young Charles is viewed as a hopeless and lifeless. Wolverine later convinces Charles Xavier to regain his powers back by encouraging what's in stake in the future. In the future Magneto is Charles Xavier's ally but in the past Magneto is a enemy to Xavier and to the rest of the younger X-Men. Mystique played by actor Jennifer Lawrence who is currently a hot name in Hollywood, really played her part amazingly well in X-Men Days of Future Past. I really felt for her character more than what I've seen from her in X-Men First Class. In this film Mystique shares the personality and charisma from Rebecca Romjin and but also shaking her own little spice of it as well. Wolverine is always viewed as a crazy, animal beast that we all known him for but in this film Wolverine being the lead role is shown something more than just being used for action roles. In this movie Wolverine is portrayed as the voice of reason and balance. Which I think is a different touch on the Wolverine character.

2. The Visual Effects and the Tone

From the outlooks of the future, to the outlook of the era of the 70s, to the amazing Sentinel fights from both the past and the future, to Mystique morphing effects, to Magneto's gravitational force and Quicksilver's epic after breaking out Magneto from jail. There are so much great scenes from this movie I can't even begin to start. The Sentinel's are visually stunning from what you see from both the comics and on screen. The whole future consumable in the beginning and in the middle is beautifully scary. The tone of the movie is really well constructed. I like how the movie did not lose its focus even though there are some humor here and there. But even the humor is perfectly balance, same goes for the violent graphic action scenes.

3. The Villains and there Motivations

People say its hard to put three villains in a full 2hr movie  "cough" Spider-Man 3  "cough" and.... not let's not forget Amazing Spider-Man 2. When comes to having three or more villains in a superhero movie each villain will often have more screen time or development than the other which lessens the audience's interest with the characters in  the movie, which also causes the villains to be unbalance and uneven. X-Men Days of Future Past however, surpass all of those problems. Bolivar Trask, Magneto and Mystique played there roles perfectly as villains and Director Bryan Singer gave them equal enough screen time to develop there characters.Bolivar Trask there creator of Sentinels want's to create live machines to save the human race from the a Mutant epidemic, Magneto want to attack the human race to give Mutants a message from allover that they should not be afraid and that they should stand up against there oppressors, and Mystique dabbles between the lines of trying to do what is right and what is wrong to strive to save the Mutantkind. Simple Motivations such as these makes the villains not as black and white but allowing all of them to have grey areas deep beneath there evil plans.

The Con and Verdict

The only negative  thing I will say about this movie I would like to see more of the bleak future than seeing only one segment of the X-Men hiding in mountains of China. But aside from that small gripe all I have to say that this movie is x-ellect, yeah I went there. And  I also appreciate that this movie has really helped to fix a lot of continuity errors from the past X-Men movies.

My Overall rating a

10/10 Its everything I ever wanted from a X-Men title. If your a X-Men Fan or Non X-Men fan watch either way you will enjoy this movie as not just a Superhero film but just a well made film.

Cast of X-Men Days of Future Past
the cast link is shown on the link below

A mutant with accelerated healing, enhanced senses, adamantium-laced skeleton and retractable bone and adamantium claws.[8][9] With the mutant race on the verge of extinction, Wolverine's healing factor makes him the only X-Man capable of withstanding the rigors of time travel. He has to survive long enough to complete the most important mission of his life: to go back in time to prevent a chain of events that will bring about the end of mutantkind.[10] Director Bryan Singer stated that "Hugh of the future is sent, his consciousness is sent into his younger self [and] Hugh gets to play both parts because [Wolverine] is ageless."[11] Writer Simon Kinberg explained in an interview why Wolverine is the time traveler and he stated "We made the decision for a lot of reasons... One reason is that he's the protagonist of the franchise, and probably the most beloved character to a mass audience."[12]
The world's most powerful telepath.[15] Xavier has watched the mutant race be slowly hunted down. But now the time has come to lead his X-Men in their greatest battle, both in the present and the past.[16] Singer described the younger Xavier as being "a very different beast from First Class' feckless playboy. He's a wounded animal, bearded, long-haired, filled with rage at the way the world has treated him."[17]
A mutant with the ability to manipulate metallic objects and described as "one of the most powerful mutants on Earth".[18] Magneto was at odds with Professor X and the X-Men for decades, but with mutant annihilation on the horizon, old animosities have to give way to new alliances.[19] Singer described McKellen's role as "also a fixture in the future war, facing an enemy so monstrous that it forces former foes to band together."[20]
A mutant with the ability of shape-shifting.[21] Singer stated that Mystique "is less innocent, evolved, getting closer to where Mystique was in X-Men 2."[22] Lawrence revealed that Mystique is split off from Lehnsherr and Xavier and she has one mission of trying to assassinate somebody. She added "we’ve seen her [Mystique] in the future and what she becomes and this is kind of a turning point for her."[23]
A mutant with the ability to manipulate the elements.[24] One of the most battle-tested and powerful X-Men, she will lead the X-Men in the toughest challenge they have ever faced.[25] Berry stated that "there’s something very revealing and shocking about Storm in this movie. There are some things you find out about her that I think give you much more insight into who she is." When asked if her pregnancy affected Storm's role, she replied "I wasn’t in as much as I was meant to be. My ever-growing belly was posing a constant challenge! What I could do was getting more limited so the role that I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy."[26]
A mutant with the ability to absorb the life force and mutant abilities of anyone she touches.[27] Paquin initially played a larger role in the film, but her role was reduced to "essentially, a cameo" after the majority of her scenes were cut in post-production.[28][29] However, Paquin is still heavily featured in the film's various promotional materials.[30][31] Kinberg stated that the special effects for Paquin's deleted scenes are being finished for the DVD release of the film.[32]
A mutant with the ability to phase through solid objects.[33] The youngest of the X-Men, she plays an important role in their fight for survival.[34] Singer described Pryde as the prime facilitator and that Pryde's phasing ability enables time-travel to happen.[35]
A mutant with super-strength, agility and speed.[36] Hoult plays the character through most of the film, and Grammer makes a cameo appearance as future Beast.[37]
A military scientist and the head of Trask Industries who created a range of robots called Sentinels whose purpose is to hunt and destroy mutants.[38] Dinklage stated that Trask "sees what he’s doing as a good thing — [his ambition is] definitely blind and he’s quite arrogant. He’s strove all his life for a certain respect and attention." He also stated that Trask is up against Richard Nixon.[39]
A mutant with the ability to create and manipulate ice as well transform his body into ice.[40]
A mutant with the ability to absorb energy to redirect it in kinetic blasts.[41] Sy described Bishop as the guy from the future and that he fights for survival.[42] Singer revealed that Bishop, along with Warpath, Sunspot and Blink, are not fresh recruits. He stated "they’re more refugees that are living day to day in this hideously ruined world. They don’t have much hope in the future. They’re on the run and they join forces with the remaining X-Men to try to do this one last attempt at fixing the world."[43]
A mutant with the ability to transform his skin into organic steel, which grants him superhuman strength, stamina, and durability.[45]
A mutant with the ability to move at supersonic speeds.[46] Peters described Quicksilver as "very fast, he talks quick, he moves quick. Everything else is very slow compared to him, it’s like he’s always at the ATM waiting for the bastard in front of him to finish."[47]
A mutant with the ability to create portals to teleport.[49] Fan stated that the film was the first of a five X-Men movie contract that she signed with 20th Century Fox.[50]
A mutant with solar-powered super-strength, near invulnerability, and the ability to use solar blasts as a means of propulsion to achieve flight.[52]
A mutant with super-strength, near invulnerability, the ability of flight and enhanced senses that give him the ability to detect approaching Sentinels several miles away.[54]
United States Army Major who hates mutants and attempts to experiment on them. He assists Trask throughout the film.[56]
A mutant with the ability to absorb cosmic energy and release it in plasma blasts. Havok can now control his powers and leaves the X-Men to join the Army during the Vietnam War.[58]
A mutant with super-strong legs, prehensile tongue and paralyzing mucus.[60]
A mutant with tattoos over different parts of his body, each given with a different power.
The president of the United States.

Trailers:Guardians of the Galaxy and Interstellar

1. Interstellar

The amazing Interstellar has hit the web and it looks beautiful has any Christopher Nolan film. What I love about this trailer that it doesn't give too much away from the plot but the trailer still give you insight of the key plots of the upcoming film that is about 7 months away. Matthew MacConaughey is a engineer who is also a single father raising to kids on a farm. Until a NASA which I assuming, hires Matthew to travel through space to work together to find another planet that resembles closely as earth. Before the original earth dies off and kills billions of earthlings.

2. Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy reveal  another brief teaser trailer show off the action, characters and more emotional depth in between scenes. For example Groot giving a little girl a flower and the love connection between Star-Lord and Gamora but not show us enough Rocket Raccoon. The official 2nd trailer will be shown in "3 days". So be excited for another Marvel treat.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Review: The Pros and Cons (Spoilers)

In my review I will be explaining the Good and Bad of Amazing Spider-Man review starting off with the Three Good reasons, Three Bad Reasons and a Overall verdict.

THE PROS

1. Spider-Man's Personality

Director Marc Webb nails Peter Parker's alter ego of Spider-Man perfectly. This Spider-Man in this movie  really close to its comic book counterpart. In this film Spider-Man energetic, a wisecracker and all time web slinging badass. What I really like is when Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man he turns into a entirely different persona than many people don't perceive him to be as, instead of Gwen Stacey of course.

2. The Relationship between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy

Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy have so much better chemistry compared to Peter and Mary Jane's relationship played by Toby McGuire and Kristen Dust. Peter Parker wants to protect Gwen Stacy from being any kind of harm, so he can keep Gwen's father oath that he will. Gwen wants to stay beside Peter Parker's side so she can prove to him that she is strong enough help Peter, even when he is fighting a super villain that kill her with a bolt. Gwen Stacy is a love interest who doesn't just get kidnap and cry for help like a typical blonde damsel but a woman who can be strong enough to be with Parker's side when there are impossible odds.

3. Death of Gwen Stacy.

The seen where Peter Parker fails to save Gwen Stacy from grips of Green Goblin and face to realize that Gwen hits her head on the pavement or probably snapped her neck from Spider-Man's own web. The seen is so well done it really prove to Peter Parker/Spider-Man that he can't always save everyone with the use of a web shot. It really shows Peter Parker the real sad reality of being a superhero.

THE CONS!

1. The Villains and the Development

The villains in the movie was really poorly paced. The movie fails to develop Electro played by actor Jamie Fox, Green Goblin played by Dane DaHaan and the Rhino played by Paul Giamatti who especially have a pointless scene in the movie beginning to the end and could played by anybody else. Before Max Dillon became the Electro he viewed as a nobody among everyone he works for and to whoever he encounters. Max is portrayed to be a obsessed Spider-Man fan who oddly talks to himself. When Max becomes the Electro after being electrocuted by a tank of eels inside Oscorp lab. In the first scene as Electro, he is viewed to the people standing around Time Square as a super powered electrifying menace. Not knowing Electro is is unaware of his own powers. Electro starts off as a simple villain who wants to be a "somebody" and he thinks he is finally a somebody when he sees his face on the many screens in Time Square. However, when Spider-Man arrives and steals his spotlight Electro development goes out the window and becomes a boring cartoony villain who only wants to blackout New York and kill Spider-Man. Electro motive is kinda of similar to Batman and Robin's Riddler where he is a jealous of the hero of the film. Harry Osborn/Green Goblin has so much potential all of the villains but sadly he gets the Venom in Spider-Man 3 treatment. Harry Osborn and Peter Parker in the middle of the film shares a good chemistry of being believable long time friends, what also think would've been a key element to this story line. But when Harry Osborn becomes Green Goblin that character development becomes a waste. To me Green Goblin felt so rushed, it seems Goblin was only for to be in the movie to have two perspective plot device and that is to kill off Gwen Stacy and be a member of the Sinister Six. Last and diffidently the least Rhino. Paul Giamatti is great actor and seeing him as the Rhino in this movie is a utterly embarrassing. Rhino is in the beginning of the film acting only as a loud mouth stereotypical Russian gangster. Spider-Man defeats "Rhino" in the beginning  who later appears in the very end to only revamp Peter Parker's purpose to be a superhero again. Even though Rhino has a purpose in future sequels, Rhino felt  nothing as a shoehorn backdrop character whose only soul purpose is to have part in the Sinister Six movie. And also the kid in the end confronting the Rhino in the middle of the street was really unnecessary and campy.

2. The Off Again and On Again Relationship

Oh Marc Webb sometimes it works sometimes its just plain annoying. Some scenes between Parker and Gwen Stacy's relationship worked really well but as for many other scenes it just didn't match together. Peter Parker often breaks up with Gwen because he is afraid he will endanger her life, then Gwen Stacy wants to get back together because she believes in second chances. Then Peter Parker breaks up with Gwen again because he thinks its probably for the best and then they are seen together inside a closet kissing in Oscorp, because they clearly have thing for each other. Then finally there officially back together again and then well later she dies...those kinds of scenes I felt dragged way to long. The story of Peter Parker and Gwen's relationship made it way too complicated..

3. The Tone and the Everywhere Narrative

From beginning to the end the Marc Webb doesn't know what he what the tone of Amazing Spider-Man movie to be. Dose he want Amazing Spider-Man a light hearted fun Superhero movie, dose he wants the tone to be a drama, dose he wants the tone to be a romance? What its shown from the movie seems to show Marc doesn't really know what kind of tone he wants for his movie. However, the confusing tone dose not bother me worst than messy narrative. It's alright for movie to have one and sometimes two Subplots but the movie itself can become a mess and Amazing Spider-Man 2 narrative suffers because of it. At the beginning of the movie Peter Parker tries to find the reasoning of death of his parents mainly his father who use to work for Oscorp when he was really young. When Peter Parker discover the reason why he is father was assassinated on the plane he reveals the reason that he we the audience already know from watching the beginning of Amazing Spider-Man 1 and the halfway through Amazing Spider-Man 2 that obviously Oscorp is a corporation that are "doing evil shady plans." There is so much going on with the narrative such as Harry Osborn wanting to inject himself with the use of Peter Parker's mutated blood to rid himself from his father's hereditary illness. Peter Parker trying to solve his complicated relationship with his girlfriend Gwen Stacy. And in the middle of all this Marc Webb tries to develop both Green Goblin and Electro's motives in middle of the film. And did I forget to address Rhino is destroying the city once again? These narrative problems makes the movie drag and turns a simple story allover the place.

The VERDICT

Overall Amazing Spider-Man have awesome action sequences, great fight scenes, great chemistry with Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn. But suffers from its confusing tone and muddled  overcrowded narrative.

Overall this movie is a

6/10

Its a fair movie but not truly amazing what I wanted it to be. Hopefully they will fix all of its mistake with the third installment.

So please comment and follow me on my blog of what your feelings of Amazing Spider-Man.
